What is ABCDs?

A couple of  weeks ago, I was hosted to a breakfast session by Kevin Brown, Financial Times’ Southeast Asia Bureau Chief. His team was introducing to a couple of us their Financial Times website and some of its latest features.

One thing that I thought was pretty interesting was their website that provides information on various financial terms.

Have a financial term that you need to decipher?

Check out Financial Time’s online Lexicon.

(A lexicon of a language refers to its words or vocabulary)

And in case you are wondering, yes, there is such as a term ABCDs.

It stands for Asset Backed Credit Default Swaps, a kind of CDS based on asset-backed securities.
