SGX to Report Daily Short-Selling Volumes
Starting from March 2013, SGX will give detailed information for short sales on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
The daily short sales volume for individual counters will be provided.
The increased transparency comes more than two years after SGX had first proposed the idea in a consultation paper.
The recent saga regarding Olam might have hastened the process in getting this implemented.
