CPF Website Woes and Phishing Alert

I hated the previous CPF website. It was slow, the design was obsolete (>10 years) and the navigation sucks.

It was also extremely difficult to find what you wanted.

Recently, CPF revamped the website. The new site looks better although it does not seem to be optimized for mobile viewing.

Unfortunately, something went awfully wrong during the revamp. Online services were disrupted for a couple of weeks, leading to huge crowds at the CPF branches.

CPF has maintained that all the data and account details of members remain unaffected.

Scammers were quick to latch on the opportunity and have created a fake CPF website which has since been taken down.

As of yesterday, a few CPF e-services remained unavailable.

For such services, you can submit a manual request using e-Concierge (After login, click on My Requests/Other CPF Matters/Submit my e-Concierge request).

On another note, scammers have also targeted ICA with a few fake websites to steal user data.

The fake websites are www.sg-immigov.com, www-icaevisa.com and singaporevisagov.com/tracking-visa/.

Always remember to check that a website ends with .gov.sg for official government websites.
