Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF)
The Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) is a scheme that provides financial support for seniors and their caregivers.
Recently, the government has enhanced the scope of the plan.
Under the scheme, eligible seniors will be able to obtain subsidies for
- Assistance devices such as commode, hospital bed, pressure relief cushions/mattress, and motorised or unmotorised wheelchairs.
- Specialized transport (for those on wheelchairs).
- Consumables such as catheters, milk feeds, diapers, thickeners, nasal tubing and various types of wound dressings.
